FBI approved channelers need to be audited annually by a third-party vendor. National Background Check has retained CJIS ACE, a division of Diverse Computing Inc. for our annual third party audits. CJIS ACE is thoroughly familiar with the CJIS Security Policy and all FBI & outsourcing standards, including the new RFP guidelines, which allows them to help us with our auditing needs. CJIS ACE has over 135 years of combined CJIS related audit experience.
CJIS ACE states “our background working in the National Crime Prevention Compact Council, the FBI CJIS Advisory Policy Board, and the Security and Access Subcommittee, puts us in a unique position to understand the national requirements associated with outsourcing, and therefore help you with your auditing needs.”
The Process
CJIS ACE conducted the initial Audit Assessment within one year of FBI contract award National background Check, Inc received, as required by the RFP. This included a two-day onsite visit at the main location and one-site visit at a subsequent location as required.
Following the audit, National Background Check, Inc now has access to CJIS Insight to monitor and document our compliance throughout the year. After the first year, CJIS ACE will conduct the annual audits, which will include a one-day onsite visit to our main office and subsequent locations as needed. Additionally, CJIS ACE will be available during our FBI audits.
